On 6 September from midday it will be announced on the homepage whether the concert will take place on the mountain or in the Haus der Musik!
THE alpine-urban concert highlight of the year will once again take place in a unique location, 2340 metres above the provincial capital of Innsbruck.
The Tyrolean Chamber Orchestra InnStrumenti invites you to Classical Music on the Mountain, the special classical open air concert in the picturesque mountain world of the Axamer Lizum, on the last day of the late summer holidays!
The cultural area of the city of Innsbruck is once again extended into the high mountains: the Axamer Lizum mountain railway takes the audience quickly and comfortably to the concert venue on the mountain, where the musicians of InnStrumenti, under the direction and moderation of Gerhard Sammer, present a varied programme of crossover music with outstanding instrumental soloists. This year’s soloists are the group Gannes and trombonist Jakob Ettlinger.
Travelling by public transport is recommended.
No seating, bring picnic blankets and warmer clothing for the mountain. Remember sun and rain protection!
